Brea - Villa Park Dual Meet 10/10

Both Girls’ teams are ranked in the county and also in the State (in Division II). Brea-Olinda reportedly had not lost a dual meet in over 10 years – they joined a new league, the Century League, this year. Each team was 2-0 going into the meet; they shared the league lead.

The Girls’ race was exciting to the end as Gustafson and McCarthy, both sophomores, dueled for the lead; it was a virtual tie, decided by inches.

Both Boys’ teams were also undefeated (2-0), and shared the league lead. Neither team has been ranked yet, though Brea-Olinda might be ranked in the county next week.

3.1 mile course at Carbon Canyon Park – nice weather, hilly, some very narrow and winding paths
