Christina Jiminez (Granite Hills, Apple Valley finishes her 18:33 win - after with her family Christina Jiminez of Granite Hills, Apple Valley has had a super prep career, with a win here a good one for her. When we caught up with her after the race she was happy, stating, "18:33 is my fastest ever here." As far as strategy: "I wanted to keep with the top pack, maybe not lead early, stay back a bit. I knew it would be a fast start, and I am not such a fast starter, so I was ready for others to lead early. After that I worked on catching the lead pack." When did she take the lead, "At two miles I took the lead, and sensed that some people were still close after that. I told myself to 'stay strong'." As far as season goals, "To make state and do a good job there." As far as schools for the senior, "I am thinking Cal Poly/Pomona, Azusa Pacific, and Cal State San Bernardino so far." early Girls Div I action Karine Parry (Aliso Niguel) led the pack up the steep hill after 800m
