Report - Guy Singer - HELIX UPSET by MONTE VISTA
Pack running is so important in cross country dual meets, I have seen
many great runners go out alone and leave their team behind. Then the
truly great ones will stay behind the #2's and 3's to motivate them throughout
the race, sacrificing their own time for the team score. I wasn't there,
but assuming Wagnew did his usual blistering pace, I'd speculate that
Helix was out foxed, by a gutsy effort by the Monte Vista team whose #1
runner Dan Driscoll was'nt 100% healthy.
