Robert Olivera's first-place finish paced Buena to victory in the meet at Dos Pueblos. Olivera clocked 16:27 over the three-mile course to defeat runner-up Shankar Tillotson of Dos Pueblos by 16 seconds. Buena's other scoring runners were Ben DeWitt in sixth (16:56), Tommy Navarette in 11th (17:21), Zane Davis in 14th (17:32) and Mark Sears in 18th (17:57). Abraham Alvarez led San Marcos with a fourth-place time of 16:54.

Ventura, paced by freshman Emily Spiker's second-place finish, took five of the top 10 places in the meet at Dos Pueblos. Spiker, the sister of former state 3,200-meter champion Josh Spiker, timed 19:15 over the three-mile course to finish 19 seconds behind first-place Tiare Ferguson of San Marcos. Ventura's other scoring runners were Jessica Bryant in fourth (19:18), Oriana Campbell in eighth (19:31), Lauren Martinez in ninth (19:34) and Tara Bryant in 10th
