����������� March 3rd, 2007 Fred Kelly Stadium in Orange, California will be the site of the Earl Engman Relays.Originally the Santa Ana

Relays, it is now Co-Hosted by Segerstrom and Orange.This is one of the oldest track meets in the state dating back to the 1920�s.

This year�s meet will be host to 27 schools.The meet will see 4 of Orange County�s Preseason Top 10 Boys Teams and 5 Girls

Teams.Boys and Girls will be divided into three divisions competing in 12 varsity relay events:

 

Division I Boys:

����������� Orange County Register�s preseason #1 Mission Viejo Diablos will begin their quest for yet another Orange County title.

The Diablos are led by Andy White (10.98 � 100m), Taylor Frazier (51.76 � 400m), Kevin Keuchler (14.75 -110H - 2nd in OC),

and Warren Reuland (6-2 � HJ).Coach Rich Hagen brings in yet another load group of distance runners for #3 El Toro.

Haji Abdow (1:56 & 4:21), Chris McDonald (9:29 � 3200m), and Marc Hausmaninger (4:28 � 1600m) will be three

to keep an eye on.The Chargers Matt Murphy (49�1�� � SP) will compete in the shot put.Mike Andraszczyk

(1:58 � 800m) leads the way for Aliso Niguel.The Wolverines also have standout hurdler Justin Smith (15.18 � 110H)

and Sean Brooks (6�0�� � HJ).Saddleback�s Andrew Silva (6�0�� � HJ) is set to compete in the high jump.

The Santa Ana Saints are led by Giovanni Salinas (50.96 � 400m), and distance runners Edgar Aguilar (4:25 � 1600m)

and Juan Paredes (4:32 � 1600m).One of two out of Orange County teams in Division I is Warren High.

Ben Wattins (11.21 � 100m) will lead the way for Warren.

Division II Boys:

����������� The Valencia Tigers make their debut at the Engman Relays and look to be the favorite to win Division II.

Pat Hadley�s distance team should run away with both DMR and 4x800.The distance crew is by Chico State

bound Josh Linen (9.30 � 3200m), Talal Khan (4:23 � 1600m), and Angel Aguirre.Carter Griffin (22.9 � 200m)

and Jonathan Hamilton (48�4�� � SP) round out a very good Tigers track team.Mayfair should challenge Valencia

and is led by Ekai Stone (multi event CIF qualifier) and Torion Bailey (52.57 � 400m).Woodbridge are led by

the Wozniak brothers.Conrad (4:25 � 1600m) and younger brother Jordan will make the Warriors tough to

beat in the distance relays.El Modena�s distance runner Matt Miller looks to continue to a banner senior year.

Matt Bruce (1:58 � 800m) of Villa Park will be one of the top middle distance runners in the division and along

with Mark Horist (6�1�� � HJ).The Spartans look to challenge for the title.Santa Ana Valley�s Brandon

Morris (11.1 � 100m & 22.9 � 200m) looks to be one of the top sprinters in the meet.

Division III Boys:

����������� Division III will show off one of the Orange County�s small school powerhouses, Orange Lutheran.The

Lancers are led by sprinters Kyle Dravis (11.14 -100m & 22.68 � 200m), Chris Woods (50.8 � 400m), and

Christian Lozon (52.2 � 400m). Sam Delgado (4:33 � 1600m) and Cameron Everhart will anchor Lutheran

distance Relays.Beckman brings hurdler Ronald Luu (42.31 � 300H).Paul Bangean of Bolsa Grande was

a three event CIF qualifier last spring.La Quinta High�s Mason Miller (4:39 � 1600m) is one of the Garden

Grove�s leagues top distance runners.The Hawks return hurdler Steen Sargent (40.81 � 300H) and Drew

Endly (22.99 � 200m) to lead the way for Laguna Hills.

Division I Girls:

����������� This division will be the first look at Orange County�s Preseason #2 team, Mission Viejo.Sophomore

Mellissa Mello (58.54, 2:19, 5:06) can star in any relay the Diablos need her in.Defending OC Champ and

4th at CIF Finals Natalie Roy (14.76 � 100H) and 6th at CIF Finals, Breana Nielsen (45.44 � 300H) should

lead Mission to a run away victory in the shuttle hurdles.Quarter miler Chelsea Taylor (59.25 � 400m) along

with fellow sprinter Brittany Fastuca (12.63 � 100m) will give the Diablos the depth to contend in every

sprint relay.High Jumper Megan Johnson (5�4�� � HJ) returns after her 6th place finish last spring at CIF

Finals for Mission Viejo.�� Returning State Champion in the 800m Haley Lawrence (2:10.57) of Aliso Niguel

along with Alexis Deol (57.75 � 400m) and Brittnay Bertuzzi (59.62 � 400m) will lead the Wolverines as

they compete for the title with fellow South Coast League team Mission Viejo.Another quality South Coast

team, Tesoro brings Megan Myer (5:16 � 1600m), Katie Westland (5�2�� HJ � 7th place CIF), and

Mary Joyner (16�1�� � LJ).El Toro brings a stand out in each of the three field events.Hillary Fraser (41�2�� SP),

Julianne Conrad (5�2�� � HJ), Alison Armando (16�4�� � LJ) will make the Chargers tough to beat on the field.

Fountain Valley will bring one of the nations finest distance runners Elizabeth Coe (9th in State 3200 � 10:43)

fresh off a trip to the Footlocker National Cross Country Championships.Anja Disiena (2:15 � 800m) and

Janve Morris (12.74 � 100m) should also star for the Barons.

CIF 3200m Champion Christine Babcock (4:41 & 10:38).Quarter milers Cassie Stanislaw (56.54 � 400m

& 5�4�� - HJ) and Kyle Wolfe (57.87 � 400m) are two of OC�s top returning 400m runners.Warriors also

return CIF Champion Sarah Toberty (2:14 � 800m).Cypress returns with Kandyce Doxey (12.33 � 100m

& 25.33 � 200m), Brittney Flores (56.54 � 400m), and Brittany Stewart (12.99 � 100m & 16�1�� � LJ)

lead the way for the highly ranked Centurions.El Modena distance runners Heather Hisgen (5:23 � 1600m)

and Erika Perez (2:21 � 800m) are among the division�s top distance runners.Stephanie Awanyai

(2:16 � 800m) returns for her senior year along with Cyntrail Pierce (16�11 ��� � LJ) to compete for Mayfair.

Staci Foster (5:04 � 1600m) and Taylor Dutch (2:20 � 800m) will lead the way for the Lancers.Lutheran

also returns Adriana Bracamonte (58.64 � 400) and Suzanne Munganga (5�1�� � HJ).Bolsa Grande�s

Rocio Pelayo (11:05 � 3200m) and Gabriella Ponce (5:24 � 1600m) should make the Matadors tough

to beat in the distance relays.Calvary Chapel 400m runner Alisa Smith (58.37 � 4th in CIF) and

Chelsea Van Cott (5:37 � 1600m) both return.Century�s Byanka Mexia (2:23- 800m) is just another

star distance runner in this division.Host school Segerstrom is led by Hewitt Kimone (1:00.29).
