2004 US Junior World Record Setting US Group
38.66 the one folks will be chasing!!

Event Preview -
Near the end of the meet individual records, glory, and medals have been handed out in the sprint events and one looks to those stars teaming with country-mates for the exciting relays, with the 2006 World Jr Meet assured of some real fireworks with the batons!

It should be another big battle between the US and Great Britian dashers in the 4x1!  The 2004 Jr World meet had the US set the current World standard in the event at 38.66.  A great young group from the European power in 2006 features Alex Nelson, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, and Wade Bennett-Jackson.  The US crew will counter with 10.12-20.42 sprint star Willie Perry, with Gordon McKenzie and Christopher Dykes individual 100 and 200 stars with strong college relay experience at that level.  Both nations have back-up, with baton passing dictating the placings!  It is always interesting.

Jamaica, with 2004 World Junior sprint and relay medalist, Remaldo Rose, home nation China, Japan, and Germany seem to have the depth to assure finalist spots and chase the silver medal should the top two be able to hold on to the baton.
