brought home gold in the 4x400 Relay on the third leg!!

  • EVENING SESSION
  • 110M High Hurdles Finals - Noga of Poland Meet Record 13.23 (HS 39" hurdles) - Darius Reed of USA and UCLA bound prep from Colorado 6th at 13.64
  • Triple Jump Finals - France's Benjamin Campaore 54-06 for the win here - no US finalists
  • 5000 Meters Final - Ethiopians romp away from the field late in the running - 1-2 Sweep at 13:31 & 13:35
  • 4x100 Meter Final - US takes Silver with Jamaica the winners and Great Britain third - silver medal US!!
  • 4x400 Meter Final - US team finishes off the meet with super run - Quentin Summers, Justin Oliver, Bryshon Nellum, and Chris Carter race 3:03.76 (sub 46 average)!

WOMEN

  • PM SESSION
  • High Jump Final - Svetlana Radzivil of Uzbekistan winner at 1.91m (6-03.25) - US no finalists
  • 1500 Meters Final - Kenyan Irene Jalagat races away to 4:08.88 win - Erin Bedell US fine 4:20.01 for 10th
  • Discus Throw Final - Australia's Dani Samuels wins with yearly W Jr Leader 198-11 - US no finalist
  • 4x100 Meter Final - US team of Jeneba Tarmoh, Alexandria Anderson, Elizabeth Olear, and Gabby Mayo
    race to super gold medal effort of 43.49 one of the fastest in World Junior History
  • 4x400 Meter Final - Jessica Beard, Brandi Cross, Sa'de Williams, and Nicole Leach bring home gold in yearly World Junior Leader 3:29.01
