Sheniqua Ferguson of Bahamas held a very slight lead over Natalya Pohrebnyak of Ukraine, who was in the adjoining lane, but Pohrebnyak prevailed in the end, 11.73 to 11.74. HEAT FOUR (+1.6)—Lina Grincikaite both the junior and senior champion of Lithuania grabbed a quick lead over Emilie Gaydu of France and held it to the finish, 11.45 to 11.53. HEAT SIX (+0.8)—Gabriella Mayo of Southeast High school in Raleigh, N.C., who had run 11.16 this year, probably got more than she had counted on as Asha Philip, who had a personal best of just 11.63, ran 11.45 to finish just .02 behind Mayo.
