I WRITE TO INVITE YOU TO OUR THIRD ANNUAL ALISAL TRACK & FIELD FESTIVAL

INVITATIONAL, TO BE HELD ON APRIL 29, 2006 HERE AT ALISAL HIGH SCHOOL IN SALINAS, CA.

WE HAVE HOSTED TWO SUCCESFUL INVITATIONALS ON OUR 8-LANE ALL-WEATHER

TRACK, AND PLAN OUR THIRD THIS YEAR. AGAIN, THIS MEET WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY

TIMED, FUN AND COMPETITIVE AT A TIME OF THE SEASON WHEN THE LEAGUE AND

SECTIONAL MEETS APPROACH FOR ALL OF US. ALL FOUR DIVISIONS (BOYS & GIRLS

VARSITY AND FROSH-SOPH) ARE INCLUDED. OVER 25 SCHOOLS PARTICIPATED IN 2005!

INVITATIONAL. I HAVE ENCLOSED AN ENTRY PACKET THAT YOU CAN HOLD ON TO

Location:�� Alisal High School Stadium

�� Alisal High School, 777 Williams Road, Salinas, California

Facilities:�� 8 lane All-Weather track and runways. Athletes must wear spikes that are

�� inch or less. TRACK EVENTS WILL BE TIMED AUTOMATICALLY.

Time:�� Field events will start at 9:15 a.m. and will continue to completion.

Depending upon the number of entries, flights may be used to reduce the field in each event to a final nine

competitors.

Track events will start with trials at 9:45 a.m. At this time, we plan preliminary heats in the 100m, the 100,65/110

Hurdles, and the 200M. Track Finals will start per the order of Events enclosed, 30 minutes after the finish of the

�track trials.

Entries:�� As was the case in the last two years, the entry policy will be as follows:

a. Each team may enter 4 athletes per division in each of the events

except those track events with trials, where the limit shall be 3 athletes per division.

b. Each team may list up to 2 additional entries per event per division, and those additional entries shall be

c. �allowed on a first come basis if it is determined by the Meet Director that there is room for additional athletes

d. �once all team entries have been received. MAKE SURE TO DESIGNATE YOUR �ADDITIONAL ENTRIES�

e. AS SUCH ON THE ENTRY FORMS ENCLOSED. The allowance of such additional entries shall be within the

f. sole discretion of the Meet Director. However, once entered, fees will be payable for each such entry.

g. A name, time and distance mark must accompany each entry. Please be as honest and accurate as possible.

h. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY FRIDAY, APRIL 21, 2006.

Awards: �� There will be team trophies for First and Second team point champions in

�� each division. There will be Medals for 1^st-3^rd places in each event for the

Varsity divisions, and ribbons for 4^th-6^th places in each division as well.�� Team Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1

Fees:�� Entry Fees are as follows: $3.00 per individual event entry and $5.00 per relay team. Schools will be charged

for the number of Original entries (not including the �additional entries� as above) received as well as any additional entries allowed

by the Meet Director to compete. No refunds will be made for no shows.
