Track
& Field spikes 'Open House' Sale: Try 'em on and buy 'em on the spot!
Host Miramonte will be joined by DFAL league rivals Campolindo, Acalanes, College Park, Northgate and Las Lomas. Joining the action will be Carondolet, Ygancio Valley, Clayton Valley, San Ramon Valley and Monte Vista from the neighboring EBAL and BVAL leagues, as well as "out of towners" Analy, Benecia, Hercules, Moreau, and St. Joseph of Alameda. A total of 20 teams are expected to hit the track this Saturday for some hot early season action. Some highlights will be exciting match ups in the Distance Medley and
4x800 Relays from some of the strongest DII and DIII distance programs
in the state! A strong slate of sprinters seem certain to challenge the
meet records in the 100! In the field events, Dave Felso of Campolindo
comes off a strong performance last week ready to challenge Kyle Hammerquist's
year old record in the Boy's Shot Put. Long Jump and Triple Jump records
also look to be in danger from a strong field on both the Boy's and the
Girl's side as well! And for a change of pace, College Park distance ace
Lindsay Allen will take a break from the distance grind and do a bit of
high jumping!
