Meet Notes - Garth Kinnier - Sunnyside HS (Fresno) - All marks are wind-legal....max wind reading on the day +1.7....ave. reading +0.9.....In one of the featured races of the evening, Centennial's Nathan Longcrier drops back to second in lap 3, then finishes strong,4:24.97, to hold off Madera's Pedro Perez and Claudio Moreno. Madera finishes with 2 runners under 4:30 and runs 2nd through 5th. Centennial's Brittany Grimes avenged her 1600M loss to Lauren Saylor at the Buchanan Distance Classic by running 5:13 to Saylor's 5:20. In the most exciting race of the night, the Invitational 100M Dash, Yosemite's Fred Worstein proves he is still the man to beat. Clovis East's Rodney Oliver ran a strong race, 10.89, leading almost wire-to-wire, but Fred did what Central Valley track fans are growing accustomed to seeing....finished the last 20 meters with blazing speed to finish first at 10.82. In the women's 100M,
Kim Jones from Bakersfield won easily in 12.38. The relays were dominated by Edison boys and girls (42.32!!!! 49.44/4:12.45) until the Madera boys ended the night with a win in the 4X400 with a strong anchor in Mike Lee (open 400 winner coasting to a 50.69)
