East Bakersfield Relays - Initial Report

Whitney Johnson of South High broke meet records in the 300-meter hurdles and the triple jump Saturday in the 45th East High Relays track and field meet at Memorial Stadium.

Johnson won the hurdles in 45.4 seconds and the triple jump with a mark of 37 feet, 6 inches. She also won the long jump (16-31/2).

Centennial High swept the boys and girls titles in the meet.

Centennial's Missy Faubus won the girls shot put (43-7 1/2) and discus (167-9), and Centennial's boys team won the 1,600 relay in 3:31.40 and the 3,200 team race in 10:23, and also got a victory from Nathan Longcrier in the 1,600 (4:27.14).
