Oakmont Invitational
Schools Competing: Bella Vista, Del Campo, Del Oro, Franklin (EG), Grant, Hiram Johnson, Jesuit, Laguna Creek, Lincoln (L), Marysville, Natomas, Oakridge, Roseville, Sierra, Tokay, Valley, Woodcreek, Yuba City, and Oakmont. Warm-ups: We ask that all warm-ups take place outside of the stadium on the athletic fields behind the home grandstand after the meet has started. Athletes on the Infield: Once the meet has begun we ask that all athletes stay out of the infield who are not competing or reporting to the clerk of the course. Because discuss is thrown on the infield, athletes not following this rule will be disqualified. Clerk of the Course: The Clerk of the course will be located on the infield nearest the pole vault end of the stadium. Trials: Heats begin at 8:30 AM, and will be seeded prior to race day. The nine fastest times will advance for the final. Finals: Will begin at the conclusion of the heats, but no earlier than 11:30 AM. In events that no prelim is run, heats will be seeded off of entry times submitted. Field Events: Field events will not have a final. Places will be determined from the best marks in the allotted number of attempts. Spikes: We are asking that athletes wear 3/16 needle spikes. Spike length will be checked at the clerk of the course. Spikes will be available to purchase, as supplies last. Entry fees: Adults $5.00; Seniors and Students w/ SBC $3.00; Children under 12 free. Awards: Medals will be awarded to 1-3 in each event. Plaques will be awarded to the team champion in each in each division (Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, Frosh/Soph Boys), and one for outstanding male and female athlete. Parking: Parking is free. We ask that as many schools as possible have buses drop athletes off and pick up following the meet to accommodate as many cars as possible.
