Shasta boys, WV girls 1st at John Frank

Chris Stevens and David Hoff both won two events to help the Shasta High School boys track and field finish first with 100 points at the John Frank Invitational on Saturday at Shasta.

Stevens won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.74 seconds and the 330 hurdles (41.58), while Hoff claimed the high jump (6-4) and the triple jump (41-9½ ).

West Valley's team finished second with 82 points followed by Paradise (74), Foothill (51) and Central Valley (48).

On the girls side, Paradise's Noelle Phares won three events 100 hurdles (15.66), 300 hurdles (51.57) and the 200 (27.34) to help the Bobcats to a first-place finish with 114 points.

West Valley was second with 57.5 points followed by Shasta (46), Durham (35) and Foothill (32).

Foothill's Natalie Robertson took first in both the 1,600 (5:19.7) and the 3,200 (11.49.23).
