Davis Stampede - 5K, 10K, & Half Marathon- Sunday Feb 8th, 2004 - from Joe Hartman

It was a perfect day for distance racing with morning temperatures moving from the hi 40's into the 50's under sunny skies, moderate wind, and a very, very fast and flat course. Cheyne Inman of Vacaville HS was 2nd overall in the 10K with a time of 33:35, followed by four Granite Bay guys. The Granite Bay girls were in close pursuit. Rocklin High School's Tim Cannon won his 5K age group and was 6th overall with a time of 16:30. Taking first and second place in the women's 16-19 half-marathon was Karlyn Nieland of Tokay HS (1 hr, 38 mins), and Erin Hunter of Union Mine HS (1 hr 41 mins).
