Boys 3200

First came Division I state cross-country team chanpionship in the fall, then senior David Torrence (bound for UC Berkeley) and sophomore Mark Matusak thrived in the spring. Torrence, on the left, placed third at state in the 1600 and Matusak ended up as the #3 sophomore in the nation at 3200 meters and among the top handul in the nation at 1600m!

Leal kept chatting away, answering questions from the Southlanders. I kiddingly mentioned to him that we would send this picture to his fiance (he is getting married later this year, remember?), and his immediate response was a smile and a "Hey now!"
