Sheldon's Rashaad Nunnally took fourth in the long jump with an effort of 23-7.25, the top non-senior in the meet! Sacred Heart Cathedral's Michelle Gallagher placed fourth in the 3200-meter run, closing 10:41.37! Most of the top girls are back next year!

Dorsey sophomor David Gettis came out of nowhere! He started learning the event two months ago and now he's the state champion in 47.41! Helix's Derrell Hutsona, a true backbone in the Helix program, soared to a wind-aided 25-5.75, among the leading tape-measure jobs in state-meet history! Helix won the team title!
She's back in 2004! After a 51.7 anchor leg and some great open dashes this postseason, Shalonda Solomon figures to be the one they'll be be chasing next spring!
