Oakwood senior Treani Swain, a prized recruit destined for USC in the fall, pulled off a very difficult 400-800 double, with the strength events separated by only roughly an hour in this schedule today. Columbia University-bound senior Laura Meyers of Maranatha, who closed out a well-decorated championship prep career in her own rite, set a hard pace on the opening lap, but the amazingly strong Swain managed to reel her in en route to the 2:14.71 win!

J.W. North downright dominated the hurdle events once more, with this 1-2-3-4 finish in the 300-meter low hurdles tabbing the crew as the best in national history in terms of depth! Four girls sub-44.50 is testament to the great attention given by Coach Charles Leathers and crew, whose stable of hurdlers from the past is second to none in terms of tradition as well!

Kilpatrick School in Malibu continues to excel on the Small Schools scene, with the learning institution for at-risk youth obviously employing fine work ethic and teamwork in building a powerhouse in recent years. Above, Kilpatrick runs 42.83 to win the short relay (they also won the long relay in 3:20.06) in starting to amass the points that led to an eventual second-place overall team finish!
