Boys Div 4
100 - Good contest, with Rocky Hinds (St. Bernard, Playa del Rey) emerging strongest over the last 20 meters to win (wind +1.1 mps).
200 - Soph Tristan Patton (Serra) fine 22.01w (+2.8 mps) winner over Hinds (22.32w) here.
400 - Great race with Marcel Keeling (Serra) leading into the stretch, but Kevin Loung (St. Joseph, Santa Maria) strong over the final 50m with the win 49.05.
800 - 26.4 for the opening 200 with 58.3 at the 400, with Dionte Shepard (Serra) leading until the 600 (1:28.6) where Keith Torluemke (CAMS) took over and raced to a 1:58.22 win.

1600 - Chad Seltzer Crespi out into the lead with Mohamed Trafeh close at 31.7, then 64.5 at the 400. Nice single-file pack through the 500, with Trafeh moving up along Seltzer at 1:38.5 at the 600 (34.1 third 200). 4:32 pace, which Trafeh did not like. He upped the ante through the 800 at 33.3 (2:11.8). George Morris (St. Bonaventure) closest. 2:44.9 at the 1000 (33.2 last 200). Trafeh appeared to continue to accelerate, 32.2 up to the 1200 point 3:17.1, with Tony Arredondo up to challenge, which he did down the backstretch. The duo ran 31.5 for the second to last 200, with Trafeh holding the lead under pressure down the homestretch. Trafeh later commented that he did not know the top nine times made it to Masters State Qualifying, just running for the win.

HH - Hassan Rahman (Serra, Gardena) looked very good with the wind +1.8 mps on the way to a 14.44 win.
IH - Jason Eiker-Wiles (Carpinteria) great run, with a good step pattern, speed, and strength on the way to fine 38.51 victory.

400 Re - Serra out quickly, but Kilpatrick a good final pass, and they ended up with the win.
1600 Re - Serra 51.9 opening leg. A 49.4 with a good close on leg 2 gave Serra a good lead over Kilpatrick, with the two battling down the homestretch, 49.7 for Serra on leg 3. Kilpatrick closed down its relay sweep with a 48.7 anchor to emerge the winners at 3:20.06 to Serra’s 3:21.15.
HJ - TJ Fakahinde (Eastside Christian, Yorba Linda), University of Texas/El Paso-bound, was another six inch winner in this event in his division, passing until 6-04, with first attempt success there and at at 6-06 on the way to a 6-08 winning effort (second trial success there).
PV - Kurt Boehm (Paraclete, Lancaster) had a fine day with a 15-00 clearance, with Michael Villaclara (Crespi) and Tim Hutzley (Academy for Academic Excellence) 13-06 for both.
LJ - Rudy Burgess (Desert, Edwards) 23-03.75 (wind +0.8) to win over Rocky Hinds (St. Benard) 23-01 (+1.4).
TJ - Burgess double jump winner with amazing 48-08.75 effort here (-1.0 mps wind). He had a super series, a 48-03.5 - 48-00.25 - 47-01.5 and the winner! Second some four and a half feet back teammate Jason Napoleon 44-01 (+0.2).
SP - John Caulfield (La Salle, Pasadena) 57-01.5 to win over Kyle Davis-Hammerquist (Webb) 53-07.5. Caulfield was 53-04.75 - 55-02.75 - foul - then 57-01.5.
DT - Kyle Davis-Hammerquist (Webb, Claremont) 176-00 opener to put it away, then 178-11 on his final attempt to win over John Caulfield (La Salle, Pasadena) 159-10.

Girls Div 4
100 - Allyson Felix even start with the pack, with appearing an effortless pull-away from a good field for an 11.37 with the wind +1.8 mps.

200 - Allyson Felix adequate start and 11.8 to lead at the 100 mark off the turn. She purred strongly on the homestretch on the way to a 22.88 divisional record win (wind +0.4).
400 - Treani Swain (Oakwood) had Cameron Washington (Marlborough) on her outside - they were even through the 200, with Swain racing in for a fine 54.48 clocking.

Div IV Girls 800 - Treani Swain - Laura Meyers - Tatiana Camacho

800 - 66 second first lap for Tracy Curry (St. Monica). Laura Meyers (Maranatha) took over there and led through the 600 at 1:41.7 with Treani Swain poised to strike. Swain blasted by as they entered the straightaway and raced away to a win at 2:14.71.
1600 - Maura Tyrell (Notre Dame) led through a 77 first lap. Divisional leader Lauren Magdelano (St. Paul) took the lead at 600, with a 2:34.1 800 and Lauren Dvoracek (Village Christian) 10 meters back. After 3:51.4 at the 1200 Magdelano pulled away to a 5:06.54 win.

HH - Artensia Young (Serra) and DeAna Carson (Vista del Lago) battled the entire way,with Carson edging ahead at the finish in a fine 14.35 (wind +0.5) to 14.49.
300 LH - Erica Fleming (LA Baptist) comfortable winner leading the entire way as she finished in 45.88.
400 Re - White clad LA Baptist, with Allyson Felix on the anchor, close until the final leg, with Allyson letting no one down during a fine ancor leg that took her team to a 47.64 win.
1600 Re - area rivals La Salle and Flintridge Prep came into the anchor battling. Lindsay Fletcher closed in 57.5 for Flintridge, but La Salle had a strong finish also to win 4:01.94-4:02.29.
HJ - Jennifer Kitzman (Santa Ynez) 5-04 for the win, with Cherhara (Oaks Christian) and Ashley Williams (Village Christian) 5-02 2-3. Kitzman cleared 5-02 on her third effort, as she did at her winning height.
PV - Gabrielle Johnson (Fillmore) was the only in the field to pass at 8-00 and 8-06, clearing 9-00 and 9-06 on her first attempts, then 10-00 on her second to take the win over Jessica Horn (La Salle, Pasadena) 9-06.
LJ - DeAna Carson (Visa Del Lago, Moreno Valley) 18-05.25 opener and 18-08 (+1.3 mps wind) on her third effort to win over Ashley Coelho (St. Joseph, SM) who was 18-05.25w (+2.1) on her final effort.
TJ - Artensia Young (Serra, Gardena) Foul, 38-11 (a foot farther than anyone in the field), then a fine 39-10.5 (wind +0.8) to separate totally from the group. Ashley Coehlho (St. Joseph, Santa Maria) 37-11.25 on her opening effort for second.
SP - Melissa Yunghans (Lutheran, Orange) great series 44-02.75 - 44-03.75 - 43-09.25 - 42-11.75 to wiun easily over Esmeralda Ramos (Chino Hills) 39-00.
DT - Melissa Yunghans again, warming up to with 107-06 and 117-07 throws before a 127-00 winner over Danielle Lampkin of 29 Palms, the early leader off her 125-09 opener. Kiersten Ferguson (Webb, Claremont) was a close third at 124-07.
