Beautiful day in the harbor area, 18 teams participated, mostly from LAUSD and South Bay.

Humberto Rojas (Estancia, Costa Mesa) fine 4:24.38 1600, with Jose Gonzalez (Narbonne, Harbor City) one of the state's Distance sleepers a 4:32.87 there (and 2:02 800 re and 4:30 1600 anchor dist med). Cabrillo, the newest of the Long Beach HS's, was 50.70 in the Girls 400 Relay, with Laura Mickelson (Mira Costa, Manhattan Beach) 5:22.66 in the G 1600, with teammate Jessica Encisco a 35-02 SP winner.

Couple of notes: Peninsula brought their "B" team, "A" team is at Track is Back tonite. Rojas anchored winning 4x800 team in about 1:58. before winning 1600 in meet record. Gonzalez of Narbonne continued his very good running with another triple, 2:02 (56 first lap) anchor to Sprint Medley, 4:30 1600 anchor to DMR to just finish behind San Pedro, and his 2nd place in 4:32 in open 1600.
