Central Section affair had some good Girls horizontal jumps!! New Section
leaders for Junior Natalie Friesen (Immanal, Reedley) 17-11 LJ and Tynisha
Smallwood (Mt. Whitney, Visalia) 37-08, the latter a meet and stadium
record! Christina Lopez (Golden West) took down 100m Meet Record by one
of the area's all-time greats, Angie Davidson (Wasco) who ran 12.2 way
back in 1986, with Lopez a 12.1 (wind legal +1.07 mps). Leslie Peacock,
also from Golden West, will be looking for some competition, with a fine
11:49.4 3200 win by over a minute! Mt. Whitney took the Girls Team title.
Boys - Ryan Moore (Redwood, Visalia) good double - 800 1:59.9 and 300m
IH 39.2 (a Meet Record). Steve Patterson, also from Redwood, 14.9w 110mHH
win, with Golden West's Jeremy Engstrom a 49-00 SP and 151-05 DT win,
followed closely by teammate Chris Kahl 150-07. Golden West a comfortable
team winner here!
