AAU Indoor Nationals!

De Ana Carson (Team World Track Club in the greater Riverside area and now a frosh at Vista del Lago HS in Moreno Valley) is pictured above wearing green/black/blue. Carson, one of America's fine young talents, bounded to a stunning 19-7 long jump effort while wearing flats (!) in the Intermediate Girls division at the AAU Indoor National Championships in Indiana. Erica McLain (East, Plano, Texas) is the national prep yearly leader in the LJ at 19-7.5.

Carson, along with her teammate Bever Leigh-Holloway (a prep at Clark HS in Las Vegas, Nev last year) were all over the place in the Indiana meet, with Carson taking the 55m (7.19) and 200m (26.29), and trailing Leigh-Holloway in the 55m Hurdles at 8.54 for both!

In photo above, Ebonie Collins (Quiet Fire TC) is another rising Los Angeles star, with a 53.60 for 400m last year in the 7th grade! Collins and her Quiet Fire teammates were prominent Youth Division here.
