Some great mid-January All-Comers action on a picture perfect Southern
California day.
North, Riverside folks were out in force, with Domenique Manning 8.0 (55mHH)
and 45.4 (300mLH) hurdle efforts, and State Champ LJer Lena Bettis (18-01)
followed close by teammate Gayle Hunter (18-00). Ashlee Brown (Unat/North)
8.0 55mHH section win. Super middle schooler Shana Woods (Long Beach)
showed up here with a 57.2 400, but where is she at high school in Long
Beach? Carol Rodriguez fine 12.1-24.8 sprint double, with Shantae McKinney
strong day (57.7 400, 2:28.6 800, 5:35.0 1600!!). Kendra Lilly (Unat/Poly,
LB) was out over 40 feet in the Shot Put.
Mike Poe (4:25.0 1600) and Lionel Larry 22.0 (200) top Boys efforts. Junior
Julian Silve and senior Ed Giles (Unat/Poly, Long Beach) getting ready
for the indoor and outdoor action with good 400 and 800 efforts!!
