by winning the CHSAA trial in 7:55.25 led by Jose Fernandez' 1:56.9 split.
Bishop Loughlin won the girls 4x400 in 3:59.10. In the PSAL 4x400 trials,
Thomas Jefferson 3:22.79 won the boys and A.P. Randolph 3:54.82 US#2 won
the girls.

Home schooled NH soph Chantelle Dron ran a 2:11.1 800, fastest in the
country this season, in the Boston U. all comers meet Jan. 4

Bromfield Harvard MA sr Ari Lambie is recuperating nicely from the illness
that cost her any chance at Foot Locker nationals in San Diego. On a 10.5
laps to the mile track in a dual meet at Shrewsbury HS, Lambie ran a mile
in 5:01.6, third fastest in the nation this season, winning by 41 seconds.

USATF All Comers - Colorado School of Mines, Golden CO
Montbello Denver CO sr Toni Smith won the triple jump at 41-4, second
best in the US this season, with an all 40-plus series: 40' 5 1/4",
41' 2 3/4", 41' 4", 40' 6 1/2". Mitchell Colorado Springs
sr Diane Anderson 39.54 300m. Washington Denver jr Elisabeth Goshu 3:03.09

Arkansas
Katya Kostetskaya, Russian student at Jonesboro AR, continues her international
shuttling between meets. After running a 5:05.12 mile in the Kickoff Klassic
in Arkansas, Katya flew to Russia for the St. Petersburg Youth Championships,
where she doubled in 1:34.30 600m and 2:53.10 1000m. Then she finished
her tour by finishing second in the Russian Youth Championships 1500 meters
with a time of 4:38.2, fastest of the season by a US runner, and running
2:16.30 for 800 meters. Now she flies back to Arkansas for her sophomore
year at Jonesboro.
