Woodland HS Team
At Camp In Lake Tahoe

Woodland High recently completed its 2006 summer running camp at the high-altitude location of Homewood, California at Lake Tahoe. The camp included twice-a-day workouts, daily team-building events from fear factor games to choosing the 2006 team shirt and flag, video analysis of form, the annual King of the Hills run up to 8000+ feet, rafting on the Truckee River and much more.

Woodland will be in a new league of the SJS this fall when it joins the newly formed Tri County League.

Russell Darlin,g who competed in the D3 State Championships as a junior, will lead the team in his senior year as the boys captain while junior Madison Bencomo will represent the girls as team captain.

The team will kick off its season with its first official meet at the Granite Bay Invitational.  -- Chuck Bruns
