She's got the tongue thing down, but I don't know how much
time this "Air Jordan" spends above the rim like Michael did!!

Turns out there is something to the "Air Jordan" headline Rich Gonzalez came up with for Jordan Hasay's 16:48 Individual Sweeps win at Mt. SAC a couple of weekends ago!  Jordan is from quite the athletic family, with mom Teresa an Olympic level swimmer from England originally, brother Jedd quite a runner and competitor at the national level in lifeguard competitions, Jordan proving to be quite the runner, but dad is the basketball connection. 

He replied to Rich Gonzalez' headline that he had some some basketballing while a prep in Pennsylvania, and was on some all-time scoring lists for the state.  Turns out he is on an all-time list of Pennsylvania preps who have scored more than 2000 points during their career.  With high school sports (football, basketball, etc.) something very big in that part of the country, inclusion on a statewide all-time list is a very special accomplishment. 

Joe added some of his comments in the original e-mail including the MJ/Jordan "tongue-wag!"

Joe: "Interesting you label Jordan “Air Jordan”.  I am on the Pennsylvania HS all time basketball scorers list (along with Wilt and Kobe et all – but much lower on the list of course!) and was a big MJ fan.  When Jordan was born, all of our friends and family thought we named her after Michael Jordan.  (Actually, his name was the furthest thing from our minds).  Now, coincidentally, just like MJ, she wags that tongue when she runs – and now again 14 years later we’re hearing it all over again!"
