West Coast Conference College Meet

College level - Live Audio Broadcast from Meet

Saturday, October 29th, 2005

This year for the first time in history Loyola Marymount will provide live, internet audio coverage of the West Coast Conference Cross Country Championships to be held THIS SATURDAY, October 29 in Belmont, California.  We have assembled what we believe are the best teams (Men's & Women's) in LMU history and as part of the buzz surrounding this weekend's event we will be broadcasting live audio from on-site.

I know we certainly have never done this before and frankly I have never heard of anyone else doing it so we could really be making some history here.  Fans will be able to follow the action live as it happens as part of "Lions' All-Access" which is the internet broadcast network for LMU Athletics.  The men's 8000m race begins at 9am with the women's 5K to follow at 9:45.  LMU will make the broadcast available on our Athletics website at: http://www.lmulions.com beginning with pre-championship action at 8:45am on Saturday.

The show will be archived so if you can't listen "live" you will be able to come back to it later.  Please note that you will need to "subscribe" to Lions' All-Access via the website.  A one-month "pass" is $6.95 and will entitle you to all LMU Athletics contests broadcast during a one month period.

We would hope to get as many folks as possible to tune in both to elevate the profile of our sport and also to make this broadcast "trial run" (no pun intended) a smashing success.  If we can actually get this thing off the ground who knows where it might lead.

Thanks for listening and as always….GO LIONS!!
