USATF Coaches Education is dedicated to increasing the knowledge and effectiveness of coaches of all levels throughout the United States.  Over 17,000 coaches have taken advantage of these all encompassing learning opportunities.

Level One Schools:

Pole Vault Instruction and Safety Course:

Friday, 14 January 2005 at Rocklin H.S. 6:00-9:00pm
(night before association Level One School)

The Coaching Education Committee has designed and implemented a course in Pole Vault Safety and Instruction.  This is a three hour course, with a short written take-home examination. The course covers the following topics:
- Equipment Specifications and Rules
- Basic Pole Vault Technique
- Teaching Progressions for the Pole Vault
- Safety Considerations for Teaching the Vaults
- Common Pole Vaulting Misconceptions and Errors
- Pole Choice and Standard Placement
