Cross-Country Coaching Clinic

August 7, 2004
Canyon Middle School, Castro Valley, California

“Coaching girls -- and boys”

Mr. Chuck Woolridge -- Keynote Speaker

Clinic speakers:
Chuck Woolridge -- College Park High School, Pleasant Hill
Chuck has fashioned one of the top girls’ programs in the state, with the Falcons taking the 2003 D-II State title in a nail-biting tie-breaker with a powerful Sultana squad. His team finished with the fastest team time in the state, and a national ranking.

Helen Lehman-Winters -- Head Coach, University of San Francisco
Helen was previously the head coach at Carondelet High School in Concord, and tuned the Cougars into a perennial NCS and State power. Her 1995 team was State D-III champion, and Kristen Gordon was the 1996 Footlocker Champion. Helen became an assistant at UCLA, and took the head position at USF last fall.

Triss Carter -- Ygnacio Valley High School, Concord
Triss has the unenviable task of facing DeLaSalle every year
in the Bay Valley Athletic League, and produces top squads each year to challenge the Spartans. She has two NCS boys’ titles to her credit: D-I champions in 1999, and D-III titlists in 2000.
