Nike Campus Tour
"Track Within A Forest"

Employees/Elites Work Out in Style!

Nike Campus visitors meander through the forest located adjacent to the employee buildings....

coming upon Nike's famed "track within the forest". Here, Nike employees and some of its visiting world-class athletes
converge for their daily track workout, a beautifully set 400-meter track, with lush trees adorning its infield as well.
The setting is serene, where exercisers can "get away" or focus on an intense workout in a private setting. Sitting at right
and getting focused for his workout is Richard Smith, who was Alan Webb's high school teammate in Virginia. Smith, a 1:49 800m runner in high school, teamed with Webb in helping crush the national distance medley HS record. Smith
now trains with Coach Cook on the Nike campus.

A massive statue of Michael Johnson adorns the outer edge of the home straight on the track.
Any Nike athlete who achieve a major global feat -- such as winning an Olympic Games or
World Championships gold medal in track -- is accorded such distinction, having either a
statue or a bust displayed somewhere on the Nike Campus' massive 175-acre grounds.

That's international track talent Trinity Gray getting in his warmup on the right (he's a blur!) while visitors check
over his workout itinerary for the day. In seeing some of the more advanced drills, these guys get great coaching!
