Huntington Beach Cross Country Invitational
September 28th, 2002 (Third week of CIF Season)

Dear Coach,

Welcome to the Third Annual Huntington Beach Cross Country Invitational, this years meet will be our best yet! The race will take place in central Park East (the library side) and will consist of 75% grass, 20% dirt and 5% pavement. THIS IS A TRUE CROSS COUNTRY STYLE COURSE. We will provide computerized timing and results as well as an attractive T-Shirt and awards. Please read the information below and return all necessary information as soon as possible. Date: Saturday, September 28,2002

Place: Central Park East (Library side) in Huntington Beach

Course: 75% grass, 20% dirt and 5% pavement. Gradual and steep up hills, with a down hill finish. (This is a cross-country style course) Spectators have an excellent view of the entire course.

Divisions: There will be one division.

Race Schedule: 9am Girls Frosh/Soph 10:30 Boys Junior Varsity
9:30 Boys Frosh/Soph 11:00 Girls Varsity
10:00 Girls Junior Varsity 11:30 Boys Varsity

Awards: Individual awards to top 50 in each race. Team plaques to top three teams in each race. Overall individual and team trophy to top boy and girl and teams. (Based on team times)

Entry Fees: $30.00 per team race. $5.00 per individual. Make checks payable to HBXC
Entry must be received ASAP.

Directions: 405 fwy exit Golden West. Turn left into Library parking lot. Directions on web site.

Parking: Ample parking for buses and spectators

Scoring: Top 5 runners’ score. 7 max in varsity races

Food: Full concessions will be available

Shirts: Beautifully designed T-Shirts will be on sale for $10.00

Clerk of the Course: Please have your runners report to the clerk of the course located near the start 15 minutes prior to their race.

Packets/ Payments: Coaches please be sure to pick up your race packets at the scoring table upon arrival. Please bring check to meet if you have not previously paid. Make checks payable to HBXC
