From the race information from last week (from the Millikan Invitational at Heartwell Park in Long Beach, and last year's Rosemead Invitational, here are some predictions:
If the entire team from Downey comes, the Boy's Senior race should be under 15:12. Downey could place several in the top 10 in that race.
The Boy's Junior race could be all Diamond Ranch, with Nemo Simmons and Michael Blair, racing Lister Yu from Mark Keppel. Simmons and Blair beat Yu in last year's Rosemead Invitational, but Yu won the race last week at the Millikan Invitational.
The Boy's sophomore race could be tight with Jaime Buenrosto from Downey battling it out with Luis Medina from Arroyo.
No predictions for the Freshman Boys Race.
In the Girl's races, look for coach Jose Rangel's Panthers from Diamond Ranch and San Marino to be prominent in all races.
The Senior Girls race could be won by Jeanine Vega from Diamond Ranch.
The Junior Race is a tough call. Dalaya Tamam from Walnut, Betsy Yen from San Marino and Gabriela Plascencia from Rowland could make this a very tight race.
In the Sophomore girls race it could be a 1-2 finish for Diamond Ranch with Danielle Evans and Tori Owens.
The Girl's Freshman race is a mystery. Look out for Thu Le from Keppel.
