Inland Empire Challenge 10/12/02 -

I am attaching our updated info for the Inland Empire Challenge, Oct.
12th.
It looks to be a bang up affair! Sultana, Murietta Valley, Rubidoux,
Canyon Springs, Rancho Cucamonga, to name a few... I haven't heard from
Don Lugo yet. They need to defend their SB county title. Should we prod
them a little?
Interest is quite high out here!
I'm no longer at Rancho Cucamonga (girls') High. I am at Los Osos (City
of Rancho Cucamonga) with just frosh/soph.
www.kidssportsnet.com/running/losososcc .
We've got a fairly talented bunch of young kids. They are a super bunch
to work with.
Jonathan Stiles from Archbishop Mitty (CCS) has moved down here to coach
with me. Officially he has the girls and I have the boys, but we are
working together to build the entire program. What a blast!

Watch for us!
Thanks for all your help in the past to make the IEC a success.

if we can keep the links intact, it would be great for helping coaches
register.

INLAND EMPIRE

CHALLENGE INVITATIONAL

Riverside County

Vs.

San Bernardino County

Canyon Springs, Rancho Cucamonga, and Los Osos High Schools have joined forces in what is becoming one of Southern California’s top Cross Country Invitational. As growth in both counties continues, many have come to feel that this Inland Empire Championship Invitational is the best way to insure that our athletes receive the recognition they deserve.

With an increased number of schools, the meet promises to be both more exciting and more competitive, bringing out the best in our athletes. The meet features a sweepstakes race that determines the Riverside County Champion, the San Bernardino County Champion, and an overall Inland Empire Champion. The meet will take advantage of what coaches last year called “the best computer software” they’ve ever seen. The results will be posted on the Internet the same day. The course, designed by runners for runners and their fans, is the most spectator friendly in the Southland.

Last years participants included State Champion Rubidoux, the powerhouse Murrieta Girls team led by Liza Pascuito, a fabulous dual between Erik Maldonado, Don Lugo and Michael Poe, Etiwanda, among many others.
