Don Bosco Tech Invitational - Legg Lake - Sat 9/14/02

Second year meet has some good folks!! On Boys’ side, Loyola (Los Angeles) has super soph Mark Matusak and Micah Tyhurst leading a highly ranked Boys Div I squad along, with St. John Bosco, bolstered by frosh Jonathan Batres, a quick recent riser!! Upland was 14th Southern Section Boys last Fall, with Maranatha a highly-ranked Division IV team with Keiclin Matsumoto and Andy Smith leading. Division IV power Salesian (Los Angeles) is always strong.
On the Girls’ side, Maranatha (Pasadena) has supers Laura Myers and Lizzy Thompson back from a group that was fourth in State Division IV last fall, with strong reports early this season! St. Paul (Whittier) has outstanding individual Marlene Elizalde, who was eighth individually at State Division IV. Upland’s Leslie Kirby was 5:04 (1600) and 11:04 (3200 in track)
