Dathan Ritzenhein (Univ Colorado) to miss cross-country season with stress fracture

The magical prep running class or 2001 that included 3:53 miler Alan Webb (Virginia) and Dathan Ritzenhein (two-time Foot Locker National CC Champ), continues to undergo some turmoil, with the information from the University of Colorado that Dathan will sit out the 2002 Cross-Country campaign with a stress fracture. Webb recently left the University of Michigan to sign with Nike and will do his running at the Open/Olympic level under his high school Coach. Ritzenhein had a fine first year as a Collegian at Colorado, placing 4th in the NCAA Cross-Country meet in helping lead his team to the title.
