From Steve Barth: I've attached a couple photos from a recent excursion some Granite Bay
affiliated athletes made last week. Prior to our camp in Tahoe, a few
of us showed up for the Squaw Valley Mountain Run. The event is a 3.6
mile run, climbing 2000 feet in the process. Ten kids, one parent, and
myself completed the run and we collected a few medals. Chris Doerhoff
(class of 2001) placed 5th overall and won the 15-19 age group (Picture
MVC-014S), Nick Mayers (class of 02) was second in the same age group,
and Megan Williams (junior this coming year and ran a 5:12 opening leg
of the Arcadia 4 x 1600 this past season) placed third in the women's
15-19 (MVC-013S). Chris will be attempting his first year of collegiate
XC this summer as a member of the Santa Clara University team.
