Buffalo Chips Youth Running & Racing Team Coach Openings
January 2005

The Buffalo Chips Youth Running and Racing Team in Sacramento CA, a segment of the Buffalo Chips Running Club... one of the oldest and largest running clubs in Northern California... is looking for two volunteer coaches to help two evenings per week (Tues. & Thurs. 6 - 8 PM) with field events (Long jump and throws) and sprint/hurdles, for youth in the 9 - 13 year-old age range.   Attendance at USATF Youth competitions with the team is also desirable but not mandatory. The Buffalo Chips Running Club was rated as the "Best Running Club in the USA" by Runners World in May, 2003.

Due to the Club's corporate nonprofit status, mileage and expenses incurred by volunteer coaches can be considered expenses incurred while providing volunteer work for a nonprofit corporation on the individuals tax return (ie lower tax obligation).

Free membership in the club will be provided.  The club is fully insured through USATF and RRCA, and has produced nearly 30 National All-American ranked youth in the past two years in middle-distance track and Cross Country.  The Club is now seeking to expand their program to encompass the full venue of track.  Volunteer work will definitely improve any resume, and will help quality youth athletes to prepare for eventual high School competition.

Head Youth Coach George Paddeck is the contact and can be reached through the following means:
