            More than 500 coaches have attended one of the first two great AAF track and field clinics this winter, and you still have an opportunity to find out what all the excitement is all about as there will be one more free clinic this Saturday at Westview High School in the Northern San Diego area.
            This clinic is not only free to all coaches and adults who would like to attend but also all coaches will receive a free copy of the 450 page AAF Track & Field Coaching manual, a certificate of completion, and a free gift from Venue Sports and Springco.
            Interested coaches and other adults can get additional information and also pre-register for the clinic by going to the AAF web site at www.aafla.org , or you can register on the day of the clinic at Westview High School beginning at 7:15 AM with the first session starting at 8:00 AM.
            Not only will there be more than four hours of sessions available on each individual track and field event area--sprints, hurdles, distances, throws, long/triple jump, high jump and pole vault—but there will also be several specialty sessions such as “Hands On Taping and Injury Prevention”, “The Best Recruiting Tool Ever-Creating A PE Track & Field Unit”, “Being a Successful Walk-on Coach”, “Creating A Successful Age Group Program”, “Beginning Javelin”, “Olympic Lifting”, and others.

          The specific event area sessions will be delivered by a tremendous group of successful coaches who are all experienced presenters...

Hurdles Presenters: Tonie Campbell-Three time USA Olympian; Gayle Watkins-former USA top ten ranked hurdler, coach at five time state champion, Mt. SAC

Long Jump/Triple Jump Presenters: Larry Myricks-Former World Cup Champion, Olympian, National Champion; Ed Luna-University California at Riverside

High Jump Presenters: John Tansley-Wrote the “Flop Book”, represents all coaches in the USA to the International Coaches Association and has spoken at Olympic Games and World Track and Field Championships, several ITFCA Congresses, as well at many, many foreign countries, has coached 15 jumpers over 7’ and his 6’9” high school sophomore will soon become number 16; Mo Haneef- a fixture in USATF in Southern California for decades, expert in all jump areas

Sprints Presenters: Brian FitzGerald-Rio Mesa High School and USATF Level 3 Presenter; Gary MacDonald-Morse High School

Distances Presenters: Mike Cummings-Valley Center High School; Ian Cumming- Otay Ranch High School.

Throws Presenters: Chris Barboza-Parmount High School; Donna Mayhew-Former National Champion

Pole Vault Presenters: Dennis McClanahan-Mt. Carmel High School-has had a competitor in the state meet for 25 consecutive years; Kevin Magula-Marina High School

Injury Prevention Presenter: Andy Paulin-head trainner at Mt. San Antonio College

             Once again, this entire clinic is presented absolutely free to all coaches and interested adults who would like to attend. Furthermore, each coach who pre-registers at our web site www.aafla.org will receive at the clinic a free gift from Venue Sports & SpringCo, a copy of the AAF Track & Field Coaching manual, and a certificate of completion.
