That's USC standout Natasha Danvers in the left photo, taking sixth in her semifinal heat of the women's 400-meter hurdles in 55.48 while representing Great Britian! In photo at right, American vaulting icon Stacy Dragila (Placer HS, CA) was amazingly shut out of the medals haul, with the former world record holder settling for fourth place in 14-11. Winner Svetlana Feofanova cleared 15-7.

American Suzy Powell (Downey HS in Modesto, then to UCLA), the prep national recordholder, placed nith at the World Championships with a heave of 196 feet, 5 inches.

Torri Edwards (Pomona HS, USC) dashes home for the silver medal in the 100m final! Edwards was timed in 10.93, a lifetime best! Way to go, Torri!

Miesha McKelvy (left photo, USC alum) was a heat winner for Team USA in the 100m high hurdles first round on Monday. McKelvy was timed in 12.94, reacting slowly out of the blocks before closing hard.

American Tyree Washington (La Sierra HS alum, Riverside) was a heat winner in the semifinal round of the 400m dash, being clocked in 44.60! Washington, who has had his ups and downs off the track, has persisted!
