Renisha Robinson (UMOJA TC - Campbell MS) middle distance
star moves to High School level
Renisha
Robinson -UMOJA TC - now a prep athlete in the CCS
With California a number of super age-group programs, high school teams
often are blessed with athletes who have achieved a great deal prior
to their ninth grade year. Such will be the case in the CCS, where Mitty
HS has been blessed with the arrival of frosh Renisha Robinson, who over
the last few years has achieved a ton at the age-group and middle school
level. Coming to high school with bests of 2:16.16 for 800m and 4:45.96
for 1500m, Renisha will immediately have a huge impact at our
level with four years to go! She is very experienced all the way to the
national level, with her 2003 summer action finishing off with finalist
performances at 800 and 1500 meters in the National Junior Olympic competition
in Miami, Florida. She has eight All-American awards along the way already
in her career! Interestingly, she played basketball for
the last
three years in middle school, but has given up that activity, is running
cross-country this Fall, and that should lead to super things in the
spring track and field season!!
