Al Oerter was a legendary discus, winning four Olympic
gold medals and as the first man to ever throw over
200 ft. He remained a nationally ranked discus thrower
until he was almost 50 years old. Oerter was inducted
to the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame in 1983.
