Coach Arquilla at mid-April meet with his LB Wilson team (Kirby Lee photo) I have some sad news to pass on. Jim Arquilla ("Arkie"), the
cross country and distance coach at Wilson HS since 1986, passed away
early this morning around 3:30 a.m. His wife, Maggie, and 3 daughters
were all at home, so they got to be with him during those last moments.
A memorial service is being planned for Sunday, May 25 at Grace Community
Church in Seal Beach, at 2:00 p.m. The plans are still being made so I'll
keep you up to date on what is going to occur. Also, there should be an
obituary in the LB Press-Telegram within the next few days that will have
some further information also.
