1) Talk about your athletic successes briefly over the last few years
Some of my track successes was making it to state my Sophomore and Junior years. My Sophomore year I couldn't believe it because I was really sick most of the season. Another track success was probably last year at Sub sections. During the trials at sub sections I could not get the discus to fly at all. Just a real bad day. I ended up with a 116 throw that barely got me to finals and during the finals I throw a pr and broke my schools record. The throw was 140 even. It was a good day. Outside of track success would be winning CCC in Basketball and making it to the final four for Division 1 and again making it to sections this year. I am also a four year scholar athlete. Last year I was named Female track athlete of the year for the Modesto Bee and the Merced Sun Star and have been on the first team all league since my sophomore year. Well that's just a few.

2) What other sports have you been involved in along the way?
Volleyball, and Basketball (2yr varsity volleyball player and 3yr varsity basketball player).

3) Talk about your 2003 season start--
This year is a little different from the past. This year I did some indoor meets and some all comers. Also I have been on a tough weight program that has contributed to the early success in throws.

4) What are some of your goals for the year?
To improve my technique and get stronger.

5) What was it like to have an older brother prominent in your event areas growing up?:
Rusty has always been a big influence on me. He pushes me to be a better thrower because I have an opportunity to throw in college. At times it is hard living under such a known thrower. We sometimes go head to head on things but in the end there is always one thing that brings us close and that is the throws. We are a throwing family. We Live to throw!

6) What do you do in your spare time?
I go to games and hang out with my friends other than that I'm throwing or doing Homework.

7) Any serious thoughts on college?
Some schools I'm looking at are Long Beach State, Cal Poly, Fresno, Northridge and the University of Washington. I have not made a decision at this time. I'm keeping my options open.

8) What advice would you have for a beginning thrower?
Work on technique, distance will come! And Keep your grades up.

Thank You
Kristina Price
