USA Youth Relay (San Diego area) Team Going to Nike Indoor Meet

United San Diego Athletes (USA) : Bryant Davis (10), Anthony Crosland (11), Jeremy gathright (11), and Fealt Cooper (11) will represent the west coast at this years 5th Annual NIKE Indoor Classic. The four age groupers have amassed over 20 national medals collectively. The USA relay team will be competing in the 4 x 200 Meter and 4 x 200 Meter Relays trying to bring home gold for the west coast.
The fabulous foursome recently smashed a 12 year old 4 x 200 record by three seconds, clocking 53.51 at the Arizona Indoor Classic, a popular youth club meet held annually at Northern Arizona University. The old record team had a couple of fine athletes you might remember from the mid nineties. Ray Carter and Lydell Burston from Morse High School (San Diego) who led their 4 x 400 team to a San Diego Section record of 3:10 at the 1996 CIF State meet.

Head Coach Christopher Mack has been devoting his time to help out San Diego County youth for 13 years. Originally a coach with the gazelle Striders, Coach Mack formed his own team the United San Diego Athletes (USA) in 1997. In recent years their team has dominated the youth relay ranks both locally, and regionally. "Coach Chris" as the kids call him, is well received, giving plenty of attention, guidance, mentoring and respect to all his kids, many of whom need positive role models. He annually raises thousands of dollars to facilitate travel for out of town venues. Last year his team traveled to both USATF (Omaha) and AAU (Knoxville) Junior Olympic venues.
