J.W. North's Domenique Manning could be at Reno this weekend!

Although still unconfirmed, it appears a very large contingent of athletes from Buchanan HS (Clovis area, Central Section) and a small group from J.W. North (Riverside, Southern Section) will be taking part in the University of Reno Indoor Meet this Saturday evening.

A popular stop with some of the California crowd, the Reno Indoor meet is a low-key affair that usually produces some pretty good marks! In an Instant Message conversation with Buchanan vaulter Matt Mosely a few weeks back, our recollection is that Mosely indicated as many as 50 Buchanan athletes would attend the meet, serving as a nice travel opportunity for the high-end program. Mosely, among the state's leading vaulters, and defending state 3200-meter champion Kyle Alcorn are among those likely to compete.

JW North took a small crew here last year, with Asst. Coach Robert Attical e-mailing us in recent days that he was heading to the Reno meet with his camera this weekend, no doubt aiming to catch the swift ladies in focus!
