Cerritos College has just announced the completion of its multi-million dollar upgrade
to the school's track and field facility, elevating its appearance to among the nicer
facilities on the West Coast. A Super Mondo track surfacing has been put in place,
along with four LJ/TJ runways (two on infield, it appears), several pole vault runways
(with two on infield, including one for use in current state meet setup), and several
off-the-infield throws areas. Last year, speedy Californians "did the job" in posting
great marks on a very fast Cerritos College surface that was an eyesore, but the
"new-look" facility should go a long way in matching the fine Golden State talent!
