A MESSAGE TO THE RUNNER, PARENT AND COACH

Dear Runner, Parent, Coach,

We, at The Running School, strive to make improvements without sacrificing any of the features that make us the biggest and the best running camp in the nation. This will be our 35th year, and we will make every effort to make 2006 the best ever.

Our Camp is Unique! We cater to all talent levels by housing our athletes by ability and not by team. In that way, our campers are comfortable with their training partners. Our experienced and trained staff can readily monitor the groups so a maximum of training and learning is accomplished.

THE RUNNING SCHOOL GOAL IS TO HELP EACH ATHLETE IMPROVE AND FEEL GOOD ABOUT HIM OR HERSELF.

Once again, we have assembled a staff of mature coaches and runners who know and understand the needs of the young runner. SUPERVISION is our constant concern, and each living facility has three or four live-in staff members. Our staff is experienced and superb leadership makes our camp a continued success. THE RUNNING SCHOOL IS CAMPER ORIENTED.

Single camper rate (7 days) - $495 includes: room and board, camp shirt, stretching rope and many other giveaways.

My best wishes for success in your indoor and outdoor seasons and for a most pleasant summer. Please feel free to call or e-mail with questions.

FEEDBACK

“As an athlete the overall camp experience was so memorable and influential to me that when I became a coach I could think of no better atmosphere in which to begin our cross country seasons. The people at The Running School are knowledgeable and passionate about helping us become better at what we love to do.”

Emilio Mancini – Coach West Seneca West HS

“Going to TRS made it easy and enjoyable to run. On the runs you are constantly encouraged and the miles just fly by. Some of the best and most successful coaches and runners attend the camp and provide you with advice to be the best athlete possible.”

Mark Amirault – Xavarian Brothers HS (Westwood, Mass.)

“I have traveled the country attending camps and I find myself comparing them all to the best, The Running School. My teams have always found The Running School to provide the motivation, information and friendships that allow us to grow and excel during the long three season running campaign in the Northeast.  We will continue to use The Running School as our springboard to success for years to come.”

Bart Sessa –Coach of Syosset HS– National 4 * 800 Champions (including Indoor USR in 4 * 800m.)

Tim Whitey – Montville Township HS (NJ)

“I learned a lot from TRS. The experience was great. The seminars, the college recruiting information, guest speakers and the Wharton stretch sessions were all beneficial to my experience. Thank you for a great week at The Running School”.
