Track and Cross-Country Calendar Note

Coaches and Meet Directors:

A few notes on passing on Meet information for inclusion on the seasonal cross-country or track and field calendar.

1) Contact information via e-mail or phone number of meet management is nice to include on the calendar.

2) If you wish further information other than the date, time event starts, site, and e-mail or phone contact probably best to include it in some word document file.  We will post it at our site and link to it from the meet date on our calendar. 

Meet information in a word document file in a text form can be as elaborate as you wish with the verbage.  Lately we have been getting files in publisher format that is very difficult to work with and requires us to return and ask for it back in a usable form. 

3) Please do not pass on meet information files that have a number of visuals or pictures imbedded in them.  Lately we are getting a number of files that have nice visuals as a part of the presentation, but when we format them into html files the page design frequently has difficulties.  If you wish to have extensive visuals or pictures (including school logos, etc.) as a part of your meet information it would be best to host the pages elsewhere (school server, etc.) and ask us to link to the meet information there.

Not trying to be difficult, but just make the process more efficient.
