Lincoln/Lodi Cross Country Invitational Meet

Race Divisions and Schedule
10:00 am Frosh Girls 2 miles 11:20 am Varsity Girls (7) 3 miles
10:20 am Frosh Boys 2 miles 11:50 am Varsity Boys (7) 3 miles
10:40 am Soph Girls 2 miles 12:15 pm Jr. Varsity Boys* 2 miles
11:00 am Soph Boys 2 miles 12:20 pm Jr. Varsity Girls* 2 miles
Awards: Team trophies and team and individual medals will be presented in the amphitheater at the end of the meet. Team trophies and medals (up to 7) will be awarded to the first, second and third place teams in the varsity divisions. Team trophies and medals (up to 7) will be awarded to the first and second place teams in the frosh and soph divisions. Medals will be awarded to the first fifteen (15) individuals who are not on a placing team in the varsity races. Medals will also be awarded to the first twelve (12) individuals who are not on a placing team in the soph races and first seven (7) individuals who are not on a placing team in the frosh races. Medals will be awarded to the first twelve (12) boys and first twelve (12) girls in the junior varsity races. The awards and race divisions/schedule may be modified depending on number of athletes running.

Entry Fees: Schools may enter an unlimited number of athletes in each race except the varsity races where the team limit is seven. The fee is $3.00 per athlete with a maximum of $100.00 per school. The minimum school entry fee is $30.00. Please make checks payable to Lincoln High School. Present check at registration. Fees must be paid before athletes are eligible to compete.

Acceptance of Invitation: Notify Tod Anton, meet co-director, 3811 Fourteen Mile Dr., Stockton, CA 95219-3808, [email protected], (209) 478-8052 by 1 October 2003 if your school will participate. He must receive basic data on all runners (first name, last name, school, gender) for electronic scoring no later than 18 October 2003 or your school cannot participate.

Registration begins at 9:00 am at the Chuck Parsons Pavilion on race day, 25 October 2003. Coaches pay entry fee and receive race packet including course maps and individualized bib numbers and pins. The scorers at the end of the chute will remove the tear-off bar code strips. Races will be electronically timed and scored by “About Timing Association” (Phil Watkins & Dick Iwamiya).

Results will be posted on the restroom building east wall as soon as possible after each race. Results should be available next day on http://www.dyestatcal.com/

Course: the continually upgraded Lodi Lake course includes blacktop paths and roadway, wilderness trail, levee, dirt, sandy beach and grass. Teams must clean their areas before leaving. Courtesy must be extended to campers and other park users.

Last Year's Participants: Schools that participated in 2002 were Antioch, Bear Creek, Ceres, Center, Edison, Elk Grove, Florin, Franklin (S), Jim Elliott Christian, Kerr Middle, Lincoln (S), Linden, Lodi, Manteca, Oakdale, Patterson, Pitman, Sheldon, Sierra, St. Mary’s, Turlock, Union Mine.

Last Year's Winners: Team winners in 2002 were varsity boys, Lincoln; varsity girls, Lodi; soph boys, Antioch; soph girls, Sheldon; frosh boys, Sheldon; and frosh girls, Lincoln. Jeffrey Lease of Lincoln and Dallon Williams of Turlock were individual varsity winners in 16:33 and 19:17. 379 runners competed and finished in the eight races.

*Runners of any grade can run in junior varsity races providing school enters 7 fastest in varsity race.
