1. Throwing Events will throw in flights by school. Girls will throw
Shot from far pit; boys will throw Shot from near pit.
2. The LJ/TJ will be from (2) pits. The west pit will be triple jump and the east pit long jump.
3. The High Jump will have (2) pits; north pit is girls & south pit is boys. The starting height is by determination of judge. The bar will go up 4” until it reaches 4’ 10” for girls and 6’0 for boys. The bar will then be raise by 2”.
4. The Pole Vault The starting height of the bar will be set by the judge. The bar will be raised by 1 foot intervals until 8’0 for girls and 11’0 for boys. The bar will then be raised by 6”.
5. Remember in all field events each team should have four entrants (relay). The best mark of each entrant will be used to compute total team mark. If there is less than four entrants than their marks will be the team mark.
6. Weightmans Relay is a true scoring relay; participants must have either thrown shot or discus in their divisions. Please don’t sandbag.
7. Miscellaneous Information Athletes will use 3/16 pyramid spikes or less. Athletes must run in correct division; no bumping up a Frosh/Soph to make Varsity relay. “B” teams (non scoring) will be allowed according to lane availability; declare early to have first shot. There will be no locker rooms available, but bathrooms will be open near tennis courts and porti potties on the field. There will be a food concession open, and there will be meet t-shirts on sale. Make out checks to Rubidoux Track and Field. This meet will run rain or shine and there will be no refunds of entry fees. The address is Rubidoux High School, 4355 Camino Real, Riverside, and Ca. 92509. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to E-mail Jay Hammer; [email protected] or [email protected].

See you on the Track.

Jay Hammer
